According to reports, a key local figure in the District of Budoun, Uttar Pradesh, died on the afternoon of the 8th, and a large group of people violated the pandemic prevention regulations to bury the dead.
As the coronavirus outbreak continues to worsen, the local government has issued strict pandemic prevention measures, any funeral activities can only be attended by up to 20 people.
However, according to live video, the funeral gathered thousands of people who did not keep their social distance, and many did not wear masks. They huddled around the coffins of the dead, pushing each other for their hands.
According to the Uttar Pradesh government, if someone does not wear a mask in a public place, they are liable to a fine of 1,000 to 10,000 rupees.
