On the evening of May 14, local time, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan said in a statement that the UAE expressed grave concern over the escalation of violence in Israel and Palestine and expressed condolences to all the victims of the recent conflict, calling on both sides to immediately stop fighting.
“The UAE is alarmed by the escalation of Israeli and Palestinian violence,” Sheikh Abdullah said in a statement. We express our condolences to all the victims of the recent fighting and share others’ calls for an immediate end to the fighting.
The UAE calls on all parties to take immediate measures to achieve a ceasefire, engage in political dialogue and exercise maximum restraint.
Sheikh Abdullah concluded the statement by saying: “We stand ready to support all efforts to that end.”
