U.S. Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan refused to leave Russia and return to the U.S. to discuss Russian-U.S. relations, RIA Novosti reported Tuesday, citing Axios news network.

According to reports, on the 16th of this month, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia proposed that Ambassador John Sullivan return to the United States for concrete and serious discussions on Russian-American relations.

The Russian Foreign Ministry believes that the ambassadors of the two sides should return to their respective countries and evaluate and discuss the current Russian-American relations.
