Kyodo News Agency reported on December 28 that the results of research teams such as Shuntian University in Japan show that 16.7% of women who have started infertility treatment have left, about one in six people.
In addition, it was found that without support in the workplace, or if women are informal employees, the risk of leaving will rise further.
The team pointed out: “Not only is it important to expand the treatment fee subsidy, but also to reform the working methods in the workplace, such as the leave system and flexible working hours system.”
The report said that the analysis of the main reasons affecting separation found that women working in the workplace that lack support for infertility treatment were 1.91 times more likely to leave than those who received support.
In terms of employment form, informal employees are 2.65 times higher than regular employees.
