Just now, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal tweeted to deny the news that Crown Prince Mohammed met with Israeli officials on the 22nd.
Faisal tweeted: “I have seen news reports that during his recent visit by Secretary of State Pompeo
His Royal Highness and Israeli officials held a so-called meeting. There was no such meeting.
Only the United States and Saudi Arabia were present. Officials.”
Earlier, many US media, including the Associated Press and The Wall Street Journal
cited Hebrew-language media sources as saying that Prime Minister Netanyahu flew to Saudi Arabia on the 22nd local time and held a secret meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed.
During the meeting, Jussi Cohen, head of the Israeli Intelligence and Secret Service (Mossad), also accompanied Netanyahu.
Associated Press said this will be the first known high-level meeting between Saudi Arabia and Israel so far.
