The Russian and Turkish foreign ministers spoke on the phone to discuss the situation in Afghanistan

August 18, according to the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, in which the two sides discussed the situation in detail, unanimously expressed their hope for stability in Afghanistan and called on their main national forces to ensure security and order in the country as soon as possible.

The two sides also addressed other issues of international and bilateral relations and checked the upcoming high-level and high-level bilateral contacts.
