Ukraine’s state news agency reported on the 21st local time, the same day Ukrainian President Zelenko signed a decree allowing in a special period, without announcing mobilization can be recruited reservists for military service, in order to quickly provide a source of troops for the Ukrainian armed forces.
Ukraine’s presidential office official website announced the same day, the signing of the bill improved the conditions for the recruitment of reservists in special times, in order to quickly add troops to the armed forces. This will greatly improve the operational capability of the Ukrainian army in the event of a military incursion and rapidly enhance its operational readiness to respond to emergencies that threaten national security.
Ukrainian media reported that the bill had been passed in Parliament on 30 March 2021 and that, under the act, the Ukrainian armed forces could recruit reservists within 24 hours without a declaration of mobilization, in exceptional circumstances such as the deterioration or invasion of the front lines in Ukraine. The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will determine the type and number of reservists to be recruited as needed, in addition to improving the registration procedures for recruitment.
