December 18, local time, Bloomberg reported that New Jersey, California, Oregon, Nevada and Washington said that the U.S. federal government had reduced the expected distribution of coronavirus vaccines to these states by about 40% without any explanation.

The states believe that this move has added a lot of uncertainty to the distribution of vaccines in various regions, and the pre-planned vaccine distribution plan of the state government and the local hospital system has had to change.

New Jersey health commissioner Judith Persirichli said that the Pfizer vaccine to be injected next week will be about 38% lower than they had planned, and they had to reschedule the distribution order.

California Governor Gavin Newsome wrote in an online coronavirus report on the 18th: “We talked directly to Pfizer. They claimed that they had many vaccines but did not obtain the federal government’s distribution license.

At present, many governors across the country are puzzled by the federal government cutting vaccine distributions without explanations.”
