The number of victims rose to 207 in the attack on civilians by gunmen in the Metker area of Benshangul-Gumaz region, northwest Ethiopia in the early morning of December 23.
It includes 35 adult women and 17 children, and the youngest victim is a six-month-old baby.
At the same time, thousands of people have been displaced in the Metker area of Benshangul-Gumaz region and are walking to the larger city of Buren in the region to seek security.
At present, the Buren city is overcrowded, the basic needs of people’s lives are urgently guaranteed, and continuous humanitarian assistance is imminent.
