Parts of the Midwest of the United States were still suffering from a blizzard on February 4 local time. According to the forecast of the U.S. weather department, winter storms will bring extremely cold weather to the United States.

By the morning of February 8, about 67% of Americans will experience temperatures below zero degrees Celsius, and the cold weather will affect all areas of the lower 48 states in the next 10 days.

Blizzard set the stage for extremely cold weather. Strong winds, heavy snow and rapidly dropping temperatures from Nebraska to Michigan are expected to last until February 5. The blizzard warning will last until the morning of the 5th in central and northern Iowa.

The National Weather Service in Des Moines, Iowa, pointed out that falling temperatures can quickly freeze wet or muddy roads, which may cause traffic hazards.

Winter storm warnings also extend to places such as Chicago, Illinois, and cold air is expected to start southward through the Midwest Illinois and Great Lakes region on the 6th.

Temperatures in central Wisconsin may plummet to about minus 4 degrees Celsius on the morning of the 7th, and low temperatures at night may even invalidate the antifreeze of cars.
