April 12th – On theĀ 11th local time, members of the Jordanian royal family gathered together to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Jordan.
Al Jazeera and other foreign media have noticed that King Abdullah II of Jordan and Prince Hamza bin Hussein of Jordan appeared together for the first time on the same day since the disturbance of the Jordanian royal family at the beginning of this month.
Recently, a “disa disturbance” of the Jordanian royal family has attracted close attention from the international community. On April 3, the Jordanian government announced that it had defeated a coup led by former Crown Prince Hamza and arrested nearly 20 senior officials and some members of the royal family. Hamza, the person concerned, released a video through the satellite network, claiming that he was under house arrest.
On the same day, the Jordanian armed forces denied rumors about Prince Hamza’s arrest, but said that Prince Hamza had been asked to stop activities related to Jordan’s national security and stability.
On April 4, Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Overseas Safadi informed the outside world that the preliminary investigation showed that Prince Hamza and his people around him had direct links with foreign forces that claimed to be “external opposition” and were involved in related activities that endangering national security and stability.
According to Safadi, King Abdullah II of Jordan will deal with the incident within the family framework. King Abdullah II of Jordan announced on the 7th that incitement had subsided and national security had been stabilized.
