February 26th – On theĀ morning of the 25th, local time, a grave digger at Washington Memorial Park Cemetery in the United States was buried under more than seven feet (about 2.1 meters) of soil while working. He died on the spot.
According to the British Daily Mail, the gravedigger is 42-year-old Rodwin Allicock, whose Washington Memorial Park Cemetery has been in operation for half a century.
After the incident, Alicock’s colleagues found him under seven feet (about 2.1 meters) of soil.
A physician assistant in the Suffolk County Medical Center office declared Alicock dead on the spot.
The incident is currently being investigated by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Suffolk County Police Department.
