The investigation is in its early stages and will focus on Cuomo’s COVID-19 task force.

We have been working with them and will continue to do so.”

February 12, Cuomo’s office confirmed the content of a recording that Cuomo and his team did not report the real coronavirus deaths in nursing homes to state legislators because of fear that the previous U.S. government would use it to target them.

The state reported that more than 15,000 people have died from COVID-19 in nursing homes in New York State, but in January, the state reported only 8,500 cumulative deaths.
