The General Administration of Civil Aviation of the United Arab Emirates announced the reopening of airspace between Qatar and Qatar.

January 8th local time, the General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates announced that the airspace between the United Arab Emirates and Qatar would be reopened from January 9 to resume regular and irregular flights between the two countries.

Earlier that day, Khaled Abdullah Belur, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, announced that the United Arab Emirates will reopen land, sea and air borders and ports to Qatar from the 9th of this month to resume communication links with Qatar.

On January 5 this year, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal said that in accordance with the Euler Declaration, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt and Qatar agreed to resume full diplomatic relations.

On January 7, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Anwar Karkash, said that the United Arab Emirates actively supports the Euler Declaration, and the UAE’s trade and transportation with Qatar are expected to resume within a week.

In June 2017, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and other countries announced that Qatar had severed diplomatic relations with Qatar on the grounds of “supporting terrorism” and “undermining regional security”.
