January 9th, local time, the first container cargo route operated by Chinese shipowners from Taicang Port, Jiangsu Province to Vladivostok Port in the Russian Far East, completed its first voyage.
According to the introduction, the route runs weekly, which takes four days one way.
At present, it is the only container cargo route operated by Chinese shipowners to and from ports in the Far East of China and Russia.
Through this route, Chinese goods can be transported better and faster to Russian inland cities and European countries through land and sea intermodal transportation.
The average transportation cost can be reduced by 30%-35% compared with pure land transportation, and the average transportation time can be reduced by about 50% compared with pure sea transportation.
