The first case of COVID-19 variant virus infection was found in North Carolina, USA.

According to NBC on January 23, the first case of COVID-19 variant B117 infection was found in North Carolina.

As of January 22 local time, 195 people in the United States have been infected with the variant.

Local health ministry officials said that the discovery of B117 infections was worrying considering the large number of people infected with the novel coronavirus in the region.

The official also called on people to stay at home as much as possible and to implement the pandemic prevention ban.
