February 12th – TheĀ Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on the 11th that the first batch of adenovirus vector vaccine liquid jointly developed by the Chinese Academy of Military Medical Sciences and Consino Biotechnology Company arrived in Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, in the early morning of the same day.
British Reuters reported on the 12th that this is the largest batch of coronavirus vaccines received so far in Mexico.
Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Eblad tweeted on the 11th to thank the Chinese government for its support and Consino Bios for developing packaging for timely delivery.” We are always grateful.
He wrote that it was also accompanied by a live video of receiving vaccines.
Just the day before, Marta Delgado Peralta, deputy foreign minister of Mexico, said that the Federal Health Risk Prevention Committee under the Mexican government has approved the emergency use of two Chinese-developed coronavirus vaccines.
These two vaccines are the adenovirus vector vaccine jointly developed by the Chinese Academy of Military Medical Sciences and Consino Company, and the coronavirus vaccine developed by China Science and Technology Co., Ltd.
According to the data released by the Mexican Ministry of Health on the 10th, as of that day, the country had a total of 1957,889 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 169,760 deaths.
At present, more than 4.38 million people in Mexico have completed government vaccination registration.
