February 15th, the Egyptian delegation has arrived in Tripoli, the Libyan capital, to discuss with Libyan officials the procedures and arrangements for reopening the embassy in Tripoli and the Consulate in Benghazi.
In January 2014, Egypt closed its embassy and consulate in Libya.
The Egyptian side welcomed the meeting of the Libyan Forum for Political Dialogue in Geneva, Switzerland, and the election of a new Provisional Supreme Authority, and expressed its willingness to maintain cooperation with the newly established authority.
