The Czech Republic’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior is recovering after being infected with the new coronavirus
On November 6, local time, Czech First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Jan Hamáček recovered after contracting the new crown virus. He posted on social media to confirm that the doctor had allowed him to return to work.
Hamachek is 42 years old and is the leader of the Czech Central Crisis Management Group responsible for responding to coronavirus pandemic and the chairman of the country’s Social Democratic Party.
He announced that he was diagnosed with the coronavirus on October 21, and had previously met with the Minister of Agriculture Toman, who was diagnosed on October 18. During this meeting, other members of the Social Democratic Party tested negative for the virus.
