The closure of the land border between Canada and the United States has been extended for one month until January 21 next year.

Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau announced on December 11th that in view of the continuous increase in new cases of COVID-19 infection, in order to protect the health of people on both sides of the border, he decided to extend the currently closed land border between the two countries for another month, until January 21, 2021.

The Canadian-US land border has been extended for one month each month since March 20 this year, which was closed due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

However, this closure only restricts non-essential travel, and there is no restriction on the transportation of medical staff, logistics, etc.
