BBC reported at 27th January that a senior government source said that Prime Minister Johnson is expected to announce next month that the government will relax the standards of pandemic prevention restrictions in England.
It is understood that the relevant criteria will include the number of deaths and hospitalizations, the progress of vaccination, the mutation of the virus, and whether deregulation will lead to a rebound of the pandemi.
In addition, whether to relax controls will also depend on whether the vaccine can effectively stop the latest data on the spread of the virus.
A government adviser said that the criteria for this deregulation may be “quite broad” and will also cover specific economic areas.
