Thailand will reach an agreement on the procurement of coronavirus vaccine with AstraZeneca in the United Kingdom
Singapore’s Lianzaobao reported on the 26th that Thai Prime Minister Prayut said that Thailand will sign an agreement with the British pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca this week to purchase a potential coronavirus vaccine.
This is the first time that the country has reached a procurement deal related to the coronavirus vaccine. Prayut said that the temperature storage condition of the vaccine is 2-8 degrees Celsius, which is suitable for tropical countries like Thailand.
Reuters reported that the news came at a time when other countries in Southeast Asia, such as the Philippines, were preparing to sign similar agreements with AstraZeneca and other companies to guarantee the supply of vaccines.
