In response, the fire department of the Western Cape Province of South Africa revealed that the current water level of the dam in the Western Cape and surrounding areas remains stable, with an average water level of 79.8% of the total water volume. But Brent Stern still said, “This does not mean that we can waste fresh water resources at will, because the best time to preserve it is when we have it.”
