Swiss police are investigating 12 cases of British tourists evading quarantine

According to Reuters, on the 30th local time, Swiss police said they were investigating British tourists to escape quarantine after hundreds of British tourists fled Switzerland because they refused to quarantine.

According to the Swiss federal government regulations, tourists from the United Kingdom and South Africa must be quarantined for 10 days from December 14, causing some tourists to stay in ski resorts such as Verbier.

At present, 12 cases of British tourist flight have been confirmed in Valais, where Verbier is located.

If punished in accordance with the relevant Swiss law dealing with “dangerous diseases”, violations of quarantine regulations will be fined up to 10,000 Swiss francs.
