December 7 According to a German News Agency report in Stockholm on December 6, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute said on the same day that global arms and business sales increased in 2019, with the sales of the U.S. arms industry accounting for the majority.
In its report, the Institute pointed out that 12 of the world’s 25 largest weapons companies are from the United States, and their global sales account for more than 60% of the total sales of these companies of $361 billion. Global arms sales increased by 8.5% year-on-year last year.
The report also said that last year, the world’s five major weapons companies were all from the United States, selling a total of $166 billion worth of weapons. At the top of the list is Lockheed Martin, which produces F-35 fighters, with sales of $53.2 billion. The other four companies are: Boeing, Northrop-Gruman, Thor and General Dynamics.
