The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on the 25th announcing that Sudan has officially launched economic and commercial exchanges with Israel.

The statement said that Sudan and Israel have decided to end the “state of hostility”, normalize the relations between the two countries, and initiate economic and commercial exchanges focusing on agriculture to benefit the two peoples.

The two delegations will hold meetings in the coming weeks to reach cooperation agreements in the fields of agriculture, trade, economy, aviation, and immigration.

The statement said that the normalization of relations between Sudan and Israel is part of the “major historical changes” that are taking place in Sudan.

The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued a statement on the same day that the United States’ decision to remove Sudan from the US list of countries supporting terrorism will help Sudan integrate into the international community and restore its economy.

Sudan hopes to strengthen cooperation with the United States in many fields.

On the 23rd, the United States, Sudan, and Israel issued a joint statement stating that the leaders of the three countries agreed to normalize relations between Sudan and Israel.

On the same day, US President Trump decided to remove Sudan from the US list of “countries supporting terrorism”.

The US government included Sudan in the list of “countries supporting terrorism” in 1993. After the establishment of the Sudan Transitional Government in 2019, it has been seeking to remove Sudan from the list of “countries supporting terrorism” identified by the United States.
