Spanish Ministers approves the coronavirus vaccination plan
At the ministerial meeting on November 24 local time, the Spanish cabinet approved the country’s coronavirus vaccination plan, which was announced by Health Minister Salvador Ilia at a press conference on the same day.
The country has identified 18 priority groups for vaccination based on factors such as the risk of disease and socio-economic impact. The vaccination will be divided into three stages.
It is expected to be the first to vaccinate relevant personnel and medical staff in nursing homes from January 2021, and it is expected to cover basically all priority groups after June 2021.
The COVID-19 vaccine will be administered through the National Health System, and vaccinations for the novel coronavirus follow the principle of voluntary and free.
