December 10th the Balearic government of Spain announced that passengers travelling to the Balearic Islands on domestic flights to the Balearic Islands from December 20th must provide a negative nucleic acid test within 72 hours.

Subsequently, the Canary Regional Government also announced that local residents and foreign tourists who go to the Canary Islands during the traditional holiday at the end of the year must provide a negative certificate of COVID-19 nucleic acid test or antigen test.

Among them, the cost of testing for local residents is paid by the regional government. If passengers fail to prepare relevant certificates in advance, they must be tested for antigens upon arrival.

The decree is expected to take effect on December 20.
