South Pacific island country Vanuatu reports first Coronavirus

Suva, November 11 News from Port Vila: Vanuatu, an island nation in the South Pacific, said on the 11th that the country has found its first confirmed case of Coronavirus.

The Vanuatu Ministry of Health said in a statement that day that the 23-year-old man arrived in the capital Port Vila on the 4th by plane from the United States. He obtained a positive virus test result on the 10th and is currently being treated in isolation in Port Vila.

Vanuatu announced in March this year that it would close its borders to prevent Coronavirus pandemic, and recently allowed overseas citizens to return home.
