On the 15th local time, FlySafair and Emirates announced that they would open up cooperation on domestic transit routes in South Africa.
The cooperation statement pointed out that if passengers travelling to South Africa on Emirates have to go to other domestic destinations, they can realize transfer services without changing their boarding passes and direct luggage transportation. Simplified the transfer link of international routes to South Africa and reduced unnecessary contacts during the pandemic.
Emirates has resumed operations in South Africa since the beginning of October and currently has 17 weekly flights to the three cities of Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban in South Africa.
The CEO of Safa Air said that due to the needs of pandemic prevention and control, Safa Air currently only opens 75% of its seats to carry passengers. However, as the traditional Western holidays are approaching, this cooperation will help the company get out of operating difficulties.
