Singapore, December 14 Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced in a national speech on the 14th that Singapore will enter the third stage of relaxing epidemic control measures on December 28.
Singapore has gradually relaxed epidemic control measures in three stages since June 2, and is currently in the second stage. Lee Hsien Loong stressed that even as it enters Phase 3, in the battle against COVID-19, it is “still far from victory”.
Singapore’s cross-departmental working group on anti-epidemic further explained that from December 28, the government will further relax the flow restrictions in shopping malls and retail stores, and tourist attractions can also apply for increased passenger capacity.
In addition, the government has increased the maximum number of participants in indoor and outdoor live performances to 250.
As of the 14th, Singapore had not seen new cases in local communities for nine consecutive days.
