Several South Korean civil society groups have accused Japan of draining nuclear-contaminated water into the sea

South Korea’s eight civil society groups held a joint press conference on the 17th local time, jointly condemned the Japanese government’s decision to discharge nuclear contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant into the sea.

Eight civil society groups pointed out that the Japanese government’s decision was extremely irresponsible, with no regard for the security of neighboring countries, and demanded that Japan immediately withdraw the decision.

Other South Koreans came to the Japanese embassy in South Korea, holding signs that read “If nuclear contaminated water is safe, you come and drink it.”
