The Iowa Department of Corrections has confirmed that 77 inmates at a state prison in the state have been injected with an overdose of Pfizer’s Coronavirus vaccine, ABC 22 reported.
The prison said it had reported the situation to the CDC and Pfizer, and that the inmates would undergo 48 hours of medical observation, followed by regular physical examinations.
At present, there are no serious adverse reactions. According to reports, the prison has 200 prisoners received the first dose of the vaccine, 48 prisoners have been vaccinated with the second dose of the vaccine.
Two medical personnel involved have been suspended and the prison has suspended vaccinations for Coronavirus.
