by YCPress

Saudi Foreign Minister expressed to the outside world on social media on the 4th local time to thank Kuwait and others for their efforts to bridge the differences between the parties in the Qatar severance of diplomatic relations crisis, and looked forward to the eventual realization of the “interests and well-being” of the region.

This is also the first time that Saudi officials have recently expressed their position on the Qatar’s severance of diplomatic relations crisis. Some media analysis believes that this statement implies that Qatar’s severance of diplomatic relations crisis may turn around.

Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Ahmed also told the outside world on Kuwaiti state television on the 4th that the consultations aimed at resolving the Qatari severance crisis had borne fruit, and the parties reached agreement on cooperation to maintain regional peace and stability.

Relations between Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt have been tense since June 2017, after Qatar severed diplomatic relations on the grounds of “undermining regional security” and “supporting terrorism”.
