Russian media quoted the Russian National Space Company on the 17th as saying that the cargo spacecraft deviated during the automatic docking process, and Russian astronaut Sergei Ryzhkov completed the manual docking mission of the spacecraft under the command of ground controllers.
It is reported that the “Progress MS-16” cargo spacecraft was originally scheduled to dock with the multi-function docking module of the International Space Station “Pier” at 9:20 Moscow time on the 17th.
Russia successfully launched the “Progress MS-16” cargo spacecraft on the 15th to deliver supplies to the International Space Station.
It is reported that the spacecraft delivers about 2.5 tons of cargo to the International Space Station, including fuel, experimental equipment, clothing, water and food, as well as materials to repair the leaking part of the Russian Star service module of the International Space Station.
