On the night of the murder on November 1, two masked men broke into Marugov’s home with a crossbow and rifle. They threatened Marugov and a female companion, tried to blackmail money, then killed him and fled.
According to the police announcement, the attackers tied the men and women together and shot Marugov in the chest with a crossbow. Then the woman managed to escape through the window and called the police.
When law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, Marugov had already died of his injuries, and the two suspects had fled the scene.
Later, the local police discovered the whereabouts of the two suspects and drove them to pursue them. Two suspects then abandoned their car and fled, and one person has now been arrested.
“Moscow Communist Youth League” revealed that the arrested suspect was named Alexander Mavridi, 49 years old, and a Kazakh national.
