According to the Russian Channel 1 TV station, soldiers have begun to receive vaccinations in Sverdlovsk Oblast and other places. The person receiving the vaccination should record his health on the relevant website.

According to RT TV, the first 1,200 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have also arrived at the military hospital of the Southern Military Region, and the medical staff in the hospital who come into contact with COVID-19 patients will be the first batch of vaccination targets.

Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Shoigu announced that he would vaccinate 400,000 soldiers against the novel coronavirus, and the number of people planned to vaccinated will reach 80,000 by the end of this year. In addition, the Russian army is currently studying the use of vaccinated military plasma to treat people infected with COVID-19. At present, more than 500 soldiers have participated in the study.

According to the Russian COVID-19 Prevention and Control Headquarters, in the past day, 25,345 new COVID-19 infections have been added across Russia, with a cumulative number of more than 2.34 million infections.
