Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov: The United States should avoid taking “risky” actions abroad in the future
On November 25th local time, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said in a meeting with visiting Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein that U.S. leaders should avoid taking “risky” actions outside the country in the future, especially those that pose a threat to the whole region.
Lavrov pointed out that the intervention of the United States and its allies in Iraq, Syria and Libya has not made life better in these countries, but has created more problems for their people, leaders and governments to overcome.
The foreign ministers of Russia and Iran also exchanged views on the Arab-Israeli conflict, the Syrian issue, counter-terrorism and cooperation in the field of energy.
Fuad Hussein said that Russia has put forward many constructive ideas on resolving the Middle East problem, and the two sides will continue to explore it in the future. Iraq hopes to sign 14 bilateral documents with Russia in 2021, covering cooperation in various fields such as oil, gas, health care and trade.
