Russian Caspian Fleet warships enter the Black Sea for military exercises

April 17, local time, 15 warships belonging to Russia’s Caspian Fleet successfully entered the Black Sea through the Kerch Strait, according to the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

The warships will take part in military exercises in the Black Sea region and be inspected by the Russian Defense Ministry for operational readiness.

The Russian Caspian Fleet Command is based in Astrakhan and has a total strength of 20,000, mainly responsible for security in the Caspian region.
