Russian Ministry of National Defense announced that the air defense forces of the country’s Aerospace Forces tested a new type of anti-missile missile at the Sareshagan training ground in Kazakhstan that day.
The news quoted the commander of the Russian air defense force Grabchuk as saying that the test achieved the intended target and the missile hit the target accurately.
The Russian Defense Ministry pointed out that the anti-missile system will be installed in the air and space forces and used to defend against air and space offensive weapon attacks, as well as to complete the missile attack early warning system and outer space surveillance tasks.
According to the opinion of Russian military experts quoted by RIA Novosti, the future new anti-missile missiles will enhance the combat capabilities of the Russian capital Moscow and some missile defense systems in Europe
