According to the Russian Satellite News Agency on February 5, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the International Organization in Vienna, said that Russia plans to allocate 460,000 euros to the International Atomic Energy Agency’s anti-tumor disease program.
In response to the special video of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Anti-Cancer Day on Twitter, Ulyanov pointed out that “Russia supports the implementation of the plan by disbursing up to 460,000 euros to the agency in the form of voluntary financial contributions and equivalent non-material contributions (training courses and scientific activities) of 31.4 million roubles.”
According to the introduction, the International Atomic Energy Agency established an action plan for cancer treatment in 2004, with the goal of making radiotherapy part of a comprehensive anti-cancer plan and to work with other international organizations to solve this problem in an integrated manner.
