Relations between Russia and the European Union are becoming increasingly tense.
In early this month, Russia expelled diplomats from each other with Germany, Sweden and Poland.
On the 18th, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Zakharova declared an Estonian diplomat “unpopular” and asked him to leave the country.
Zakharova said this was in retaliation for Estonia’s expulsion of Russian diplomats.
The Estonian government has announced the expulsion of an official in charge of cultural education at the Russian Embassy in Estonia.
Zakharova said that the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs had summoned the Estonian ambassador to Russia to express strong protest.
