According to local media reports on January 28, two mountaineering enthusiasts were killed by an avalanche in the famous Mount Olympus in northern Greece.

Another companion who climbed with them survived and gave firefighters a timely warning, thus gaining a chance to escape.

According to reports, the two victims, aged 49 and 46, were from the front line of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and worked in the intensive care unit of Larissa General Hospital in central Greece.

One was anesthesiologist and the other was a pathologist. When colleagues learned the bad news, they felt extremely sad and deeply regretted their sudden death.
