November 11, According to TASS News Agency on the 10th, Russian President Putin stated that Azerbaijan’s accidental attack on a Russian military helicopter stated that Azerbaijan’s President Aliyev has promised to thoroughly investigate the matter and punish those responsible for the attack.

When meeting with senior officials of the Russian Ministry of Defense and other personnel, Putin said, “The President of Azerbaijan promised me that he will conduct thorough investigations within the scope of criminal proceedings and punish those responsible.”

On November 9, local time, a Mi-24 helicopter at the Russian military base in Armenia was hit by ground air defense fire and crashed over Armenia outside the Naka conflict zone, causing 2 deaths and 1 injury to the crew.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan subsequently stated that this tragedy was caused by a mistaken attack by the Azerbaijani military and was not directed at Russia. Afghanistan extended its sincere apologies to the Russian side, expressed condolences to the families of the victims, wished the injured a speedy recovery, and was willing to provide corresponding compensation to the Russian side. On the 10th, Azerbaijani President Aliyev called Putin and apologized for accidentally hitting a Russian helicopter during the conversation.
