Russian satellite news agency on January 27th, Russian President Putin said at the “Davos” World Economic Forum that Russia and Europe should unite.
The current relationship is abnormal and dialogue and a positive agenda must be resumed.
Speaking of Russia and the future of Europe, Putin stressed, “I have personally heard the position of Helmut Kohl, a prominent European politician and (former German) Prime Minister.
He said that if European culture wants to preserve and remain one of the centers of world civilization in the future, then Western Europe and Russia should unite. It is difficult not to We agree with this view and we have the same view and position.”
Putin pointed out that the current situation of Russia’s relations with Europe is “clearly abnormal”. Putin stressed, “We need to return to the positive agenda, which I believe is in the interest of Russia and European countries.”
Putin said, “From an economic point of view, Europe and Russia are absolutely natural partners in this regard. This is only important from the perspective of scientific and technological development. There is a need for honest dialogue and a need to break away from the fear of the past and from the exploitation of all the problems left by the past centuries in the domestic political process, and to look to the future.”
Putin said that if Russia and Europe can get rid of these problems and these fears from the past, then their relations will certainly enter a positive stage.
