Protests occur in Washington state after an African-American man was shot and killed by the police
On the evening of October 30, local time, when mourners vigil for an African-American man who was shot and
killed by law enforcement officers, protests occurred in Vancouver, Washington, USA.
At least hundreds of people gathered for a vigil that night. Some of them held slogans with slogans such as
“Hoop for the lives of blacks”, “White silence is violence” and “Scream for his name.”
In addition, some demonstrators gathered near the building, and protesters participated in the march.
Witnesses claimed that windows were broken, flags were burned, and federal agents appeared in riot gear.
According to the victim’s family and friends, the cause of the incident was 21-year-old
Kevin Peterson (was shot and killed in Vancouver on the evening of the 29th
which was located at the center of the previous protests-about 12 miles north of Portland, Oregon.
