At about 4 am local time on the 7th, a part of a suspension bridge over the Paranapanema River between the states of Sao Paulo and Paraná in southeastern Brazil broke out in a fire. The fire broke out on the side of Paraná. 

The fire was brought under control at around 6 o’clock, and the search and extinguishment of the remaining fire at the scene continued until the afternoon that day. At present, the cause of the fire is still unclear.

The local police will investigate the incident, and no casualties have been reported.

The suspension bridge where the fire broke out is called the Chavantes suspension bridge. It was built in December 1920. The bridge is 149 meters long and 82 meters high.

It connects the city of Chavantes in the State of Sao Paulo and Ribeiralang in the State of Paraná. Claro City. On December 4, the bridge will usher in the 100th anniversary of its completion.
