December 14th – Albert Bourla, CEO of Pfizer, said that he had not yet been vaccinated against the coronavirus vaccine developed by the company.

Burla said that the company is establishing an ethics committee to assess who should be vaccinated. Burla agreed with the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that the first vaccination should be given to medical staff and people who have long lived in nursing facilities.

In addition, Bulla said that Pfizer has ordered 50 million doses in 2020, most of which have been produced; about 1.3 billion doses of Pfizer coronavirus vaccine will be produced worldwide in 2021.

CNN reported on the 13th that Redfield, the director of the U.S. CDC, accepted the recommendation of the agency’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices that the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine can be used for people aged 16 and above.

CNN said that this means that the vaccine can be used in the United States.
