Pakistani Prime Minister expressed support for the peace process in Afghanistan

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said in the Afghan capital Kabul on the 19th that Pakistan supports Afghanistan’s inclusive peace process and will do everything it can to help Afghanistan achieve peace. 

On the 19th, at the invitation of Afghan President Ghani, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, for a one-day official visit to Afghanistan. 

This is Imran Khan’s first visit to Afghanistan since he took office as Prime Minister of Pakistan.

At a joint press conference held with Ghani, Imran Khan said that this visit is aimed at promoting mutual trust between the two countries and consolidating bilateral relations. 

Pakistan hopes to achieve peace in Afghanistan, and is concerned about the recent increase in violence in Afghanistan, and will do everything it can to help Afghanistan reduce violence in its territory. 

Afghan President Ghani stated that the message of Imran Khan’s visit is that “violence is not the answer to the current situation in Afghanistan, and the Afghan people hope to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire as soon as possible”.
