On the afternoon of January 5th local time, the 41st Leaders Summit of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf was held in the western Saudi city of Euler.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced at the opening of the meeting that the summit was named “Sultan Qaboos and Sheikh Sabah Summit” in memory of the two late leaders of Kuwait and Oman.
In his opening speech, Muhammad accused Iran of “influencing regional stability” and called on the Gulf countries to agree to take a position to jointly address the challenge.
Tamim, the Emir of Qatar, also participated in the GCC Leaders Summit again after more than three years. It is worth noting that the leaders of the GCC countries, including Tamim, co-signed the closing declaration and the Euler Declaration at the opening of the meeting.
According to the previous Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Ahmed Al-Sabah, the Euler Declaration includes the reopening of airspace and the land and maritime borders between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
